As someone with a PHD in alternative medicine he is worth listening to about these issues and the fact that he TALKS HARD about the damn liberal repressors gives him even more credence!
Did Harry Reid take a flu shot? Did Barack Obama take a flu shot? Did Barack Obama’s lovely family take a flu shot? Did Joe Biden take a flu shot?” Savage asked.
“Which of the mandarins took the flu shot?”
He explained that he was talking specifically about vaccines and was not advocating the avoidance of all pharmaceuticals.
Known for his many books on herbal medicines, Savage acknowledged he has benefited from “an awful lot of life-saving regular medicines.”
“The flu vaccine?” he asked. “No, I wouldn’t take it.”
Savage noted “not everything your government tells you is true.”
“So it’s good to have a cynic in radio who questions authority,” he said.
In the early '90s Right-Wing talk radio was still in its infancy.
Rush Limbaugh led the way but is too corporate for my taste. He is always dressing up in business suits and what not. There is more to life then just business. What about freedom? Freedom has always been a core tenet of the Hard Harry412 message.
However since that time a number of new hosts have emerged who are clearly TALKING HARD. This included Alex Jones.
It is time to explore if Michael Savage could be classed as one of these.
He has just called for a new third party to be formed, that is pretty radical and certainly something that could be classed under the TALK HARD rubric.
Conservative radio host Michael Savage spoke out against Republicans and Democrats alike on Sunday for pulling a "charade" on the American people, and called for a third political party.
"We need a Nationalist party in the United States of America," Savage said on WABC's "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio," according to WND.
The third-most widely heard talk show host, behind only Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity in ratings, explained a new, third "Nationalist" party could focus on "borders, language and culture."
On his September 21, 1999 broadcast, Savage said that the motivation for female students who come from a Marin County private school to feed and provide services to the homeless is so they "can go in and get raped by them, because they seem to like the excitement of it..."[15][16]
In 2007, Supertalk Mississippi removed The Savage Nation from its programming due to negative reaction by listeners.[17][18]
Savage characterized Israel as "A little country surrounded by racist, fascist bigots who don't want anyone but themselves living in that hell hole called the Middle East".[19]
On April 17, 2006, he said of Muslims, "They say, 'Oh, there's a billion of them.' I said, 'So, kill 100 million of them, then there'll be 900 million of them.' I mean, would you rather die—would you rather us die than them?"[20]
As a result of his comments allegedely soliciting to murder and incitement to racial hatred (both criminal offences in the United Kingdom), on May 5, 2009 it was announced by then-Home SecretaryJacqui Smith that Savage was on a list of individuals banned from entering the United Kingdom as he is "considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by seeking to provoke others to serious criminal acts and fostering hatred which might lead to inter-community violence".[21][22][23]
Savage called on his listeners to support him by canceling travel and business in Britain as well as by boycotting British-made goods, commenting, "If they want to play hardball, we'll play hardball."[24]
Not sure how this collectivist racism could be reconciled with my own Libertarian message of Freedom. Maybe a reading of Murray Rothbard could help me to come to some reconciliation of the two but for now I am going to leave Savage on the back-burner and continue listening to Alex Jones (and Michael Levin as well).
