For a live album, the first half is pretty shocking in its dark spareness. It almost doesn't seem like a live album, with songs like 'Nancy'.
The contrast comes in with the second half, which I enjoyed a lot more. 'Story of Isaac' is climbing up the charts on my 'Cohen Favorites' list.
