Leonard Cohen - I'm Your Man

Another astounding album from Leonard Cohen.  This one is again totally different from his last one, as he delves deep into synth-pop here.

Synthpop... Ugh that is not really the sort of genre I like.  I'm a total guitar-driven Alt-Rocker.  Luckily though Cohen is such a strong song-writer that he manages to make this album actually enjoyable!  Also the fact that it is really the 'only electronic Cohen album' makes it sort of different and enjoyable just for that reason alone (similar to 'Death of a Ladies Man')

Overall I think this album is greater then the sum of its parts.  All the songs just fit together nicely.  To me the only song that really sticks out is of course 'Everybody Knows'!

Really the only stinker on this album is 'Jazz Police'.  In my mind it is sort of a sequel to 'The Law' from Cohens last album, but not anywhere near as good.  Oh well everyone has some throw-away B-sides.
